The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity available for a fully qualified and experienced Mechanic to join our team at our Brisbane workshop.
This is a vital role that where you will also be the 2IC (2nd in charge) for the workshop, acting as the point of contact when the Manager is away from the premises.
Requirements
- Full trade qualification as a motor mechanic
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience
- Current drivers licence
- Own your own tools
- Ability to diagnose and repair different vehicle makes and models
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
- Experience with KPIs
- Strong time management ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with POS programs for invoicing/estimating (desirable)

Auto Stop Brisbane and Gold Coast are a car and truck service and repair centre. We are a Repco Authorised approved repairer, RACQ approved repairer and a MTA Motor Trades Assoc Qld member. The teams at our Brisbane and Gold Coast workshops are all highly trained, experienced automotive technicians that have gained a reputation for offering the right advice, delivering expert repairs and excellence in customer service.
We currently have a great opportunity for an apprentice mechanic at our Brisbane store. You MUST have the desire to be a mechanic and have a great work ethic to join our close-knit team.
About the Role
In this role you will
- Assist with daily operation of our service centre
- Perform general mechanical diagnosis, repairs, service and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles
- Provide a great professional customer experience
About You
- Experience/passion for the motor vehicle industry
- Previous experience in some mechanical is beneficial. However, not essential
- Positive approach to customer service with a focus on customer experience
- Great written and verbal communication skills
